(PLease Read for the Esoteric or “inner” meaning of baptism)
aptism comes from the Greek word baptizo, which means to immerse or to bathe. This Seal or Anointing may be celebrated by a member of the episcopate, priesthood, or the diaconate. Preparatory meetings with parents of infants and sponsors or god-parents is highly suggested. If the person has reached the age of reason or are an adult, they would personally take part in preparatory meetings with the clergy about the sacrament. This is a sacrament of initiation, regeneration, and renewal through immersion or sprinkling of water over the head of an infant or individual done in the name of the Holy Quaternity. If performed on an infant, it is the child’s first experience of Divine Consciousness, sealing them for life as a begotten child of God. Not only is Baptism an outward sign of an inward change but it is a public reception into the Ekklesia. It serves as a second birth which purifies the body and soul by expiation, NOT of original sin, but rather but genetically inherited ignorance, generational karmic residue, or a domino effect of strongholds, or bondage to unconsciousness behavior, such as pre-dispositions towards developing addictions, from the blood line. It has the effect of giving a child or person a “clean slate”, sanctifying, or preparing them to be emanations of the Divine and to be the “light of the world”.

From the eternal realm the spirit of truth has issued,
The pleroma of light has emanated, entering into the Jordan –
The waters have parted, flowing back upon themselves,
The serpent has been uplifted and redeemed, ignorance brought to an end,
The soul is transformed into pure spirit, the flesh into pure light,
From carnal into spiritual we have been transformed, reborn,
And so we call upon you, Mother Spirit,
Another has come in the Blessed Name, seeking deliverance,
We pray that you touch this one, setting on fire!
Going down into the living waters filled with light and spirit,
We pass from material to spiritual, and are chosen,

Having had imperfect bodies, in him we have received our perfect form,

So, through grace, we are joined to the Mystical Body of Christ,
And have fellowship with the spiritual elect and angels of God;

This confers freedom from inheriting the mass, collective pain-body and all accompanying afflictions. Furthermore, a “newness” and regeneration occurs in the person. If an infant receives the sacrament, the combination of parents, with a sponsor, or along with godparents, help to answer for the infant and commit to guiding, praying for, and spiritually nourishing the child as they mature.
Baptism by immersion or water, if for an infant is somewhat of a passive nature, but the decrees of parents, family, sponsor(s), and godparents free the child from any of the darkness in the forms mentioned above is an active promise to help guide the child to seek salvation through epignosis, or divine realization and accompanying states of consciousness such as gnosis (divine insights), self-realization, illumination, and ultimately Enlightenment, that are goals of the esoteric Christian journey.
This is the first initiation for a new esoteric Christian and is the pre-requisite for cleansing oneself and walking the path of epignosis with salvation or God-Union/Oneness as the ultimate, first, and final goal in earthly life. Sealing the child with Divine Consciousness is the pre-requisite for developing the bi-product of epignosis, which is the desire for Communion with God. The Divine Romance God desires to have with a begotten son or daughter is a seed planted into the soul of the baptized. This is nourished not only through faith in God’s goodness, but in the openness to personal experiences of gnosis or epignosis of the person as they mature.
Alternatively, a person may be receive a direct, divine acquaintance or gnosis of the kriya-kundalini fire (as did the the Master Jeshua’s Apostles at Pentecost in the pre-Christian days) and be baptized by that fire through personal mystical encounters. Clergy can help to confirm the validity of the individual’s personal experience through a set of questions in discernment. This empowerment may bring many graces to the individual. If this happens sometime in life after having been immersed in water baptism, then the person has received a great gift from the Divine Spirit which may ready them for chrism or confirmation, or be the agency of the Divine Absolute, Transcendental-All-That-Is, initiating an internal change or transformation.
Baptism by Fire and the Holy Shekinah can be cathartic and be beneficial not only for oneself, but potentially for all the people, whether Esoteric Mystics or not, that the person ministers or extends love to. If this phenomena whether validated or not, and if not properly initiated through water baptism, they should, if they so desire, begin their initiatory journey through immersion or sprinkling of water.
